Microsoft acquires Cycle Computing to bolster high performance computing on Azure

Microsoft has announced the acquisition of Connecticut-based Cycle Computing to help provide easier access to high performance computing (HPC) in Azure.

Cycle has been in business since 2005 and provides orchestration software running both off the primary public cloud providers as well as in private cloud environments. Stripe beats Dropbox and Slack to top spot in Forbes Cloud 100 ranking

CloudHealth Technologies secures $46 million series D funding with IPO on the horizon

CloudHealth Technologies, a Boston-based cloud service management provider, has announced a $46 million (£35.8m) series D funding round with the company all set to go public.

Rackspace confirms close of TriCore Solutions acquisition

Rackspace has confirmed it has completed the acquisition of TriCore Solutions, a managed application and infrastructure provider.

Verizon sells cloud services to IBM in ‘unique cooperation between two tech leaders’

Verizon has announced it is selling its cloud and managed hosting service to IBM, alongside working with the Armonk giant on a ‘number of strategic initiatives involving networking and cloud services’.
